winter skin routine

December 15, 2016

I am always trying out new all natural skin care products, but with the cold winter air (and upcoming wedding!) I'm doing all I can to keep my skin as glowy as possible! For someone who spent years avoiding any face product that had oil in it, I now can't get enough. As long as the oils are natural (for me that usually means I can read / understand all the ingredients) - my skin just drinks them up and responds really well to them.

I have a plethora of products I rotate and use on occasion but these 3 are my current daily go-to's. I know my skin care regime isn't very budget friendly, but I justify it as I hardly wear much makeup and therefore don't spend much money on that, and I truly look forward to my relaxing, enjoyable skin care routine every night before crawling into bed. And it's priceless to feel good in your skin!

1. Aster & Bay Cleansing Oil: I love love love the scent of this - and not all cleansing face oils have the best smell - but this is just delicious. I put a little in my hands, rub together to warm up, and massage it in all over my face before wiping off with just water or a warm washcloth. If I'm feeling particularly dry I'll leave it on for a little bit like a mini mask to really let it soak in.

2. Goop Exfoliating Instant Facial: This is a newer favorite. If Gwyneth Paltrow swears by something, I listen up. The instructions say to use it 3 times a week - rubbing a bit all over your face and letting it sit + tingle for a few minutes, but I've been using (per GP's instruction!) every day, and my skin is LOVING it.

3. Vintner's Daughter: I have sung this miraculous oil's praises before, and I know it's pricey, but you use only a few drops, and it feels so good to press / massage this into my skin every night before bed and let it work some magic. And if you consider what you'd spend on a couple nights out for a nice dinner or a pair of shoes or 2...the price seems a little more manageable when it's something I use and enjoy every single day.
