background: grew up in des moines, went to college in minnesota, followed jobs post-graduation to los angeles and cincinnati before moving back to des moines. started blogging in 2010 under the name 'a sequin dress at breakfast,' which evolved and relaunched in 2016 as 'finest thing.'

favorites: spending time with my sweet husband and baby girl, Louise, enjoying our backyard chickens, traveling often, yoga, coffee shops, natural beauty products, healthy cooking, dance floors.
